The Danforth Secord Community Blog was created to promote community activity in the Main and Danforth area, from approximately Westlake Ave to Dentonia Park, Lumsden Ave/Taylor Creek Park to the train tracks. The blog will help build our community by focusing on the enhancement of our neighbourhood’s streets and parks, recognizing diversity as a community strength, communicating ideas and news, promoting the commercial strip along Danforth Ave and supporting community events. The blog will aim to improve our community to be more beautiful, vibrant and safe.
The blog is run by Danforth Secord residents Julia Gray and Michael Hodge, who have lived in the area since 2006.
Our hope is that this blog will be a foundation for a community association in the future.

I think your blog is a great idea!
I absolutely love your idea of having a blog to represent this community. In my opinion, a great one that most people do not know about.
I am a realtor “farming” this neighbourhood. I have been trying to come up with a name to market this area with ( 9 years ago I started the “upper beach” hood and got some people laughing… years later… it is oficially The upper beach:)
Recently I sold a couple of houses on Coleman, and one of the owners and new neighbour to this community gave me the link to your blog.
I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and have a coffee.
You can reach me at 416.836.9715 or by email. Looking forward to it!
