Summer Movies!

There are two community-oriented movie events happening in the very near future in our ‘hood!

The first is a free outdoor movie in Dentonia Park happening Saturday, August 16th.  Remember the movie event that tried to happen earlier in the summer but got rained out – this is the re-schedule!  Toronto International Film Festival, Toronto Parks and Recreation and Friends of Dentonia Park will be screening the 80s classic “E.T.” with a preceding short from Crescent Town Elementary School.  The event starts at 8pm.  Bring friends! Bring blankets!  Good times will be had.

The second, organized by the Danforth Village BIA, is happening on Saturday August 23rd in the Main Square courtyard.  The movie to be shown is the action-packed, family-oriented ‘Jumanji’ featuring the beloved (and recently passed) Robin Williams.  Not sure what time it starts… (can’t seem to find that information anywhere – I’ll post that information when I discover!)  You can keep posted on ‘Jumanji’ by checking out the Danforth Village BIA facebook page.
