The City will be starting sidewalk replacement, streetscaping improvements and road resurfacing as part of the Danforth Ave Improvement Project on July 21st – that would be Monday. The work will be taking place between Woodbine and Dawes and will be taking place between 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday, with work after hours and weekends as required. It’s anticipated the work will continue until early October, 2014.
Of course, being a construction project, there will be some noise and temporary inconveniences, such as some pedestrian and traffic restrictions. Also, traffic lanes on Danforth will be reduced, as well as no parking, in the active work zone. Everyone’s patience is appreciated – relatively speaking it will be short-lived, and it will be worth it in the end.
If you’d like to receive future notices and updates by email you can email Josie Franch at The City at firstname.lastname@example.org, but I will also continue to post updates to the community blog.
