Two gatherings of sorts you should be aware of regarding the 90 Eastdale Project: the OMB hearing, and the next Working Group meeting.
Wait, there’s an OMB hearing??
The new alternative proposal for 90 Eastdale is at the point where it is heading to the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) – please refer to my previous post about this if you’re not sure what I’m talking about.
The hearing is set for a full day: Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM, at the Ontario Municipal Board, 655 Bay Street, 16th Floor Hearing Room, Toronto, Ontario.
Local Danforth Secord Resident Jon Stewart will be attending the hearing – if you would like to attend the hearing yourself as a participant (meaning an individual, group or corporation who wants to make a statement to the OMB, but doesn’t want to fully attend), best to get in touch with Jon. He is coordinating with the OMB and can make sure there is enough time for everyone to speak. He is also requesting an evening slot to make it easier for residents to attend (no guarantee, of course). Jon’s email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are not able to attend the hearing, you can write a letter to the OMB expressing your concerns.
Letters can be addressed to:

But I want to be involved, but don’t want to go to a hearing!
If you are interested in bring ideas to the table with the City and the developer, Preston Group, Janet Davis has arranged for a Working Group to hash out details about the alternative proposal put forward by the City. The Working Group is next meeting:
